Acceptable Use and Responsible Gaming Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This Acceptable Use and Responsible Gaming Policy (the "Policy") forms part of the Terms of Service between Codexx Nepal Pvt. Ltd. ("Afterparty") and each operator that uses the Afterparty service (the "Operator"). It applies to the Operator, its Authorized Users and anyone else who accesses the Service through the Operator's account.

1. Our Responsible Gaming Commitment

Afterparty builds retention and engagement tools for licensed gaming and lawful sweepstakes operators. We believe that engagement must never come at the expense of player wellbeing. The Service is designed so that responsible-gaming status can stop Rewards and marketing from reaching players who should not receive them, and we expect every Operator to use those controls properly and to go beyond them where its licences or its own policies require.

The Service provides, among other things:

  • gating of Rewards, raffles, mini-games and messaging by responsible-gaming status flags (for example, self-exclusion, cool-off and limit-reached), which the Operator sends to the Service;
  • minimum-age settings and requirements for verified KYC before monetary Rewards;
  • jurisdiction allow-lists, block-lists and sweepstakes excluded regions per brand;
  • consent records, quiet hours and suppression of marketing for players who opt out;
  • provably fair, independently verifiable raffle draws and tournament tie-breaks; and
  • human approval of actions proposed by AI agents.

These are tools. They do not replace the Operator's own legal analysis, licence conditions or responsible-gaming programme.

2. Gaming and Sweepstakes Requirements

The Operator must:

  • hold every licence, registration and approval required for each brand and each jurisdiction in which it offers products, and keep them in force;
  • offer products only where they are lawful, configure jurisdiction settings accordingly, and not use the Service for players located where gambling or sweepstakes are prohibited or unlicensed;
  • send accurate and timely KYC, age and responsible-gaming status updates, and not delay, suppress or alter them to keep a player eligible for Rewards or marketing;
  • publish clear, fair and lawful bonus terms, promotion terms and official rules, including wagering requirements, expiry and eligibility, before a Reward is offered;
  • for sweepstakes, provide a free alternative method of entry with equal dignity, publish official rules (see the Sweepstakes Official Rules Template), and fulfil prizes as promised;
  • fulfil all Rewards through its own wallet or fulfilment systems and resolve player disputes about them; and
  • comply with all advertising, marketing-consent and consumer-protection laws that apply to its communications.

3. Prohibited Uses

The Operator must not use the Service, and must not allow anyone to use it, to:

  • offer or promote gambling, gaming or sweepstakes products without the required licences, or in a jurisdiction where they are unlawful;
  • target, contact or reward minors, self-excluded players, players in a cool-off period, or players whom the Operator has identified as vulnerable or at risk of harm;
  • configure segments, journeys, missions or offers that encourage chasing losses, increase stakes after a player has set a limit, or otherwise exploit signs of problem gambling;
  • use churn, lifetime-value or engagement scores to intensify marketing to players showing markers of harm;
  • misrepresent the odds of winning, the value of a prize, the conditions of a bonus, or the fairness of a draw;
  • make decisions about prize winners, Reward eligibility, account restrictions or responsible-gaming interventions solely through AI Features or automated scores without meaningful human review;
  • send messages without the required consent, outside permitted hours, without a working opt-out, or to purchased or scraped contact lists;
  • upload data the Operator has no right to process, or data prohibited by the Data Processing Agreement, such as payment card numbers or identity documents;
  • launder money, facilitate fraud, evade sanctions or conceal the source of funds;
  • distribute malware, spam or content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful or sexually exploitative;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the hosted Service, or bypass its authentication, rate limits, tenant isolation or responsible-gaming gating, except under a written security-testing agreement with Afterparty;
  • impose an unreasonable load on the hosted Service, or access it by automated means other than through documented APIs; or
  • resell or provide the hosted Service to third parties other than the Operator's own brands, unless an Order Form allows it.

Nothing in this Policy restricts rights granted by the MIT License to the open-source code of the platform. This Policy applies to the hosted Service operated by Afterparty.

4. Enforcement

Afterparty may investigate suspected violations. If Afterparty reasonably believes this Policy has been violated, it may require the Operator to correct the violation, disable the affected campaign, Reward or integration, suspend access under the Terms of Service, or terminate the Agreement for a serious or repeated violation. Where required by law, Afterparty may report violations to the competent authorities.

5. Reporting

Report suspected violations, including misuse by an operator that affects you as a player, to legal@afterparty.example.com. If you are a player who needs support with gambling, please contact your operator's responsible-gaming team or a free, confidential support service, such as the National Problem Gambling Helpline in the United States (call or text 1-800-MY-RESET, 1-800-697-3738, operated by the National Council on Problem Gambling), the National Gambling Helpline in Great Britain (0808 8020 133, run by GamCare), or the problem-gambling helpline of your province, state or country.
